Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't updated the blog for a couple of days. Dana hasn't been feeling too well since Sunday, so we have been laying low.

On Sunday Dana started getting fussy and has some trouble eating and is uncomfortable. She is sleeping well luckily, but was the same on Monday, so we had the Dr. come (they come to the hotel for adopting families-very nice). She switched us to lactose free formula and gas drops as she couldn't see anything wrong otherwise. On Tuesday everything was returning to normal, and then on Wednesday back to her painful gas and screams. The Dr. came over last night and asked that we bring a #2 diaper sample to the clinic down the block for testing. So Jeaneth and I did that this morning. We should know more tonight.

From what we have heard sometimes the orphanages or foster parents will use tap water or not boil it long enough to purify and that leads to parasites in the intestines. If that is the case there is medicine to kill that off. The hotel uses purified bottled water, and sterilizes the bottles for us twice a day, so no problems here. It may just be a stomach virus as well. Hopefully we will know more this afternoon.

So other than that Cecilia came over yesterday. She had a nice holiday in Santa Marta last week, and she wanted to come and see how Dana is doing, and of course hold and kiss her. Andy got a couple of smooches as well. She invited us over to their home on Sunday for Tamale's, and we are looking forward to that.

Next week, after we hear from the court that our paperwork is accepted (nothing missing or signatures needed) we are going to go to Santa Marta for a week. It is on the Northern Colombian coast on the Carribbean. There are a lot of all inclusive resorts there, so we are looking forward to a change of scenery. We also want to go to Cartegena, but have heard that it isn't the best place for families with young kids, so we will save that for our next trip here in 5-10 years.

We hope everyone is well. We miss home and are looking forward to seeing everyone and having Dana meet everyone.

Talk to you soon.
